On 1 March 2011, EnergyAustralia sold its retail assets to TRUenergy.

Rest assured that if you are a customer, you do not need to do anything and we will continue to provide all our customers with all services.

Ausgrid will keep its extensive network of electricity infrastructure (poles, wires and substations) and continue to assist customers if blackouts occur. The sale only concerned the retail part of the business.
