Paul Myors

Ausgrid's energy efficiency expert Paul Myors has easy to follow tips on how to reduce household energy use. His advice is available for general use.

Paul has more than 20 years experience in the electricity industry including the development of household energy efficiency programs, greenhouse strategies and renewable energy generation.

He was project manager for Australia’s first large scale, grid-connected wind turbine at Kooragang Island, as well as the Singleton Solar Farm - the largest solar energy plant in the southern hemisphere when built.

Paul assisted the NSW Department of Planning in the development of the BASIX (Building Sustainability Index) legislation, which sets targets for energy and greenhouse reduction in new residential homes.

A leading commentator on energy efficiency and smart grid technology, Paul has spoken at energy forums including Newcastle's Energy Town Meeting with Adam Spencer and ABC TV’s Big Ideas, as well as regular media interviews.

Paul has a BE in Electrical Engineering and works in Ausgrid’s demand management and energy efficiency unit.
