Ausgrid has established a number of methods for facilitating greater access to information about its activities and operations. View a summary about 'Accessing Ausgrid Information' here or scroll down to find out more.
Step 1: Search our Website
Ausgrid has made more information about us and our operations freely available on our website. All information which we consider of interest to our customers, or required by law or our licenses can be accessed on our website.
There are some exceptions to this, such as:
- private information;
- information belonging to other parties;
- where there is an overriding public interest against disclosure; and
- legal exemptions.
Download a list of categories of documents on the website.
If you cannot find what you are looking for try using the ‘search’ function to conduct a search across our website more broadly. If you are still unsuccessful, try contacting us to see if we can assist you in finding the information that you are after.
Step 2: Contact Us
If you cannot find the information you are looking for on our website contact us on:
- 13 15 35;
- email gipa@ausgrid.com.au
- Post to:
Right to Information Officer
Ausgrid
GPO Box 4009
Sydney NSW 2001
We will do our best to help you find the information that you are looking for as quickly as possible. In most circumstances we will provide the information to you free of charge or tell you how and where the information can be accessed.
Step 3: Submit a Formal Access Application
If you are not satisfied with the information provided or disagree with our response, you can lodge a formal request for the information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
While we are happy to receive formal requests we would encourage you to see whether the information can be released without the need for a formal application as the formal process can be lengthy and costly.
If however, you would like to lodge a formal request, applications can be downloaded here and are also available from our Customer Service Centres.
