At the start of your apprenticeship you’ll get to grips with the basics as you begin to develop your knowledge and skills at one of our dedicated training centres in Sydney, Newcastle or Muswellbrook.
As well as gaining a nationally recognised qualification, you’ll enjoy the advantages of job-related training, paid leave to attend TAFE, and the opportunity to sample the ‘real world’ while you work in a number of different areas throughout the company. This means you benefit from broader experience than you’d gain elsewhere - invaluable preparation for a career as the future of Ausgrid.
Of course, you’ll need to be ready to engage your mind, as well as your hands. The apprenticeship program can be demanding, so as well as being physically fit, you should have sound maths, science and communications skills. And we’ll expect you to bring a positive, enthusiastic attitude to the Ausgrid team.
