Cadetships

The Ausgrid Cadetship program is designed for high achieving students with strong academic results – particularly in maths and physics.  The cadetship is a five-year program that combines work with university study.

As an Ausgrid Cadet you will complete a four-year Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree at university (specialising in power engineering) and undertake work experience with Ausgrid when university is not in session.

You will defer your final year of university for 12 months and work at Ausgrid full-time, completing two six-month placements in junior engineering roles. You will then return to Uni in year 5, to undertake an industry-based thesis project.

After completing your university degree, you will be eligible to apply for the Ausgrid Electrical Engineering Graduate program

The on-the-job experience gained while on the program gives our cadets an extra edge and allows the opportunity to develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills.

How to Apply
