Subtransmission Cable Jointers

Salary: $55 831 - $72 221

Ausgrid, invites applications from qualified Sub -Transmission Cable Jointers.
The positions will be attached to the Transmission Group located at Lidcombe, but the successful applicants must be prepared to work at other locations in the Ausgrid supply area and outside the franchise area, including works both interstate and overseas.
We are seeking a highly motivated individuals with current industry qualifications to work as Cable Jointers at voltages up to and including 132 000 volts.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of sub-transmission cable jointing, including both solid and pressure dielectric constructed cables.
Applicants must be physically suited to undertake the full range of jointing and other physically demanding tasks associated with the installation of underground cable systems and associated equipment.
Applicants should possess or be eligible to obtain a Certificate 3 in Electrical Supply Industry – Transmission & Distribution Powerline and possess a Class C (1A) driver’s licence.
Applicants may be required to undergo a trade test and skills assessment.
