The Ausgrid traineeship has enhanced my theoretical learning through practical application. You get real-world experience and get paid while you're completing your Diploma.
At Ausgrid, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved with a number of projects such as project estimating, transmission line design, implementation of safe working methods, pole inspection and lots more.
I am currently involved with the investigation of transmission lines. It is personally very exciting and challenging for me. Considering I entered the program with minimal experience, the traineeship has broadened my professionalism, knowledge and experience.
I would recommend the Ausgrid traineeship to anyone who wants a fulfilling and challenging career in Electrical Engineering.

Ausgrid is a very dynamic and professional organisation to be associated with. I have benefited greatly during my development, through the theoretical problems learnt in the classroom to the practical examples confronting me in the field.
The electricity distribution industry is made up of many fields and the traineeship has provided invaluable experience in many of these areas.
Along with the industry specific experience that I have gained while on the program, Ausgrid is also very active in developing general skills that aid in your career. For example, every year on the traineeship you spend a week away from the office so you can improve your decision-making processes and public presentation skills, or simply take part in team building activities.
The Ausgrid traineeship is a fantastic opportunity to combine industry specific work with an enjoyable study program.
