How much will your system generate

The amount of electricity your solar system will generate depends on the size of the system, the amount of solar energy it receives, the orientation and tilt of the panels and the reliability of the system.

A study of generation data from 7,380 solar systems in the Ausgrid network area over a year (July 2010 to June 2011) found that the average system performance was between 1,200 to 1,300 kWh per year per installed kilowatt of solar panels.

Solar system performance presentation

Ausgrid presented at the ATRAA conference in July 2012 as part of Clean Energy Week 2012. This presentation includes information on the performance of installed solar systems, long-term reliability of systems in Newington and a case study of the Singleton solar farm.
