Contestable Process

The high level contestable process that we follow may be seen in the attached flowchart.  This process is relevant for connections and the majority of asset relocations. 

Sample Certified Design

ASP3 Workshops resulted in publication of sample designs considered of certifiable standard for Sydney and Newcastle.

ASP3 Seminars

We regularly hold Seminars for ASP3s.   The next Seminar will be on Tuesday 25 June 2013 at Ausgrid's Silverwater Learning Centre.  Topics to be discussed include: Contestability update, National Energy Customer Framework (NECF), External CAD template update, Designers Safety Reports, ASP3 access to GIS and Question time.  Initiations will be extended to all ASP3's currently accredited in NSW.

ASP3 Face to Face Meetings

Face to Face meetings were conducted in May and June 2012.

In 2010 Face to Face meetings were held with ASP3s.  The sessions covered a range of topics and generated valuable feedback.  We have collated the questions and answers.   

ASP3 Newsletters

Newsletters have in the past been written to provide information to ASP3s on issues current at the time.  Please refer to our archive for previous Newsletters.   

National Energy Customer Framework (NECF) go-live is confimed as 1 July 2013 in NSW.  Refer to the attached for futher information. 

Changes to the Stakeholder Engagement

Contestability regularly engages with Developers, Customers and Electrical Contractors to outline and explain the connection process, identifying appropriate Electrical and Network Standards. The most recent Stakeholder Engagement Session was held at Muswellbrook on 24 January 2012. ASP1 Seminars Representatives from the Contestability workgroup regularly attend the Level 1 ASP (ASP1) Seminars.  ASP1 seminars are conducted by Ausgrid's Installation Policy & Compliance workgroup.  Enquiries on the ASP1 Seminars should be directed to 02 4399 8131.
