Safety rules and regulations are not limited to Ausgrid employees but also extend to anyone working on our electricity network and electrical contractors working on customer installations.

We are committed to keeping electrical contractors and accredited service providers (ASPs) informed of safety issues relevant to their work.

Network management plan

Chapter 2 of our Network Management Plan covers customer installation safety and monitoring the safety performance of electrical contractors.

ASPs must also be familiar with chapter 1 of the plan, and the table outlining the qualifications required for working on or near our network. Initial training and annual refresher training in our electrical safety rules by all ASPs is essential for authorisation to work on or near our electricity network.
