Ausgrid is the distributor who manages the electricity network in Sydney, the Central Coast and Hunter regions including the poles, wires and equipment that deliver electricity to your home or business.

Electricity distributors in NSW, including Ausgrid, charge energy retailers a fee for the use of the electricity network, which is passed on to customers.

The amount charged to customers for the use of the network is regulated by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER).
