Appliance Assist
Appliance Assist is a trial program that helps low income households purchase new energy efficient fridges and washing machines at up to 50% off the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) via an interest free loan.
Old fridges and washing machines can cost households twice as much to run as new, energy efficient models. Buying new, more efficient appliances to replace old inefficient models can reduce your electricity bill by up to $120 per appliance each year.
Appliance Assist is available through selected NILS providers in the Hunter, Central Coast and the Marrickville and Sutherland local government areas. NILS providers participating in the trial include:
