DMIA Innovation and Research - Electric Vehicles

Charge Together Project

Charge Together Project

This ARENA-funded project was led by Evenergi and was supported by Ausgrid and other partners including the EV Council, NRMA and the NSW Government. The project aimed to encourage best practice integration of electric vehicles (EVs) and their charging equipment with the electricity network.

As part of this project an electricity planning and forecasting tool was developed to assist Australian companies, like Ausgrid, to plan and prepare for the impacts of EV charging on the electricity system.

To inform the development of this tool, Ausgrid conducted a survey of NSW electric vehicle private owners between November 2019 and February 2020 to better understand how customers currently use and charge their electric vehicles.

Results of the survey are located at the link below and thank you to all those who participated, helping Ausgrid plan for the future integration of electric vehicle charging into the electricity network.
