Ausgrid and NECA Training & Apprenticeships are partnering to provide career opportunities for First Nations People.
Commencing on 3 June and running for six weeks, the EmPower program aims to expand on our existing apprentice partnership with NECA, with the Indigenous pre-employment program offering successful graduates a pathway to join our Bright Spark Apprentice Program, as well as building a talent pipeline more generally into the energy industry.
Supported by Indigenous coaching business Mulga Gidgee, our Pre-Apprentices will experience all that Ausgrid has to offer, with training and supervision, mentoring and personal development.
Program Details
- 6 weeks full time from 3 June - 12 July 2024 (business hours)
- 5 weeks of nationally accredited training
- 1 week industry work experience
- Personal and Professional Development activities
- Successful graduates will receive a national qualification EII20120 Certification II in Resources & Infrastructure Work Preparation
- Successful graduates will also receive assistance in applying for the Ausgrid Bright Spark Apprentice Program
