Types of connection services and offers

Basic connection services micro EG connections

We use this model standing offer when:

  • you apply to connect a small embedded generating unit such as roof mounted solar panels; and
  • we have determined the connection is a basic service because the network is sufficient to safely meet the connection requirements without augmentation; and
  • the unit complies with AS/NZ 4777, Grid connection of Energy Systems via Inverters.

When the premises where the embedded generating unit will be installed is already connected to the network, this is the only connection offer that we will make.

When you apply for a micro embedded generation connection at the same time as you apply to connect new premises or to alter an existing connection, Ausgrid will also make a separate connection offer in relation to that new or altered connection.
