First Nations
Connecting our workplace to Australia’s oldest living culture
First Nations Employee Group Representative
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of this land and we pay our respect to their Elders past, present and future. It is important that we recognise that our customers and infrastructure live on ancestral lands.

Connecting our workplace to Australia’s oldest living culture

Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) sets out key actions and deliverables to connect the organisation to First Nations communities through education and knowledge sharing, building economic empowerment and a culturally safe workplace.

First Nations Employee Resource Group

Our First Nations employee resource group supports the RAP in providing opportunities to build capability and participation of First Nations peoples at all levels in our organisation, while promoting culture and community engagement.

Recognising Ancestral lands

The Ausgrid network area covers 22,275 square kilometres and encompasses 11 ancestral countries in the Sydney, Hunter and Central Coast  regions. This #NAIDOC2022 we are celebrating the countries on which we operate. We strive to respect, celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across our network.
