NS146 Assessment Procedure for Working on Poles

What has changed?

  • The document has been converted to the new Network Standard template (including a title change). 
  • Amendment to timber pole and steel pole sounding and excavation.
  • Annexure B moved to Clause 5. 
  • Annexures A-E were added.

New Draft NS285 – Pillar Site Selection

This new draft Network Standard is available for consultation before publishing.  

What has changed?

This document deals with the following site-related aspects:

  • Minimum above ground clearances around pillars
  • Requirements for off-street and footpath locations
  • Requirements for visually impaired persons and public safety
  • Landscaping and access requirements for off-street locations
  • Minimum clearance diagrams in Annexure A.
  • Examples of pillar placement in Annexure B
