UPDATE FOR 30-200KW INVERTER ENERGY SYSTEM APPLICATIONS
The 30-200kW Inverter Energy Systems (IES) application process is changing on 07 November 2022.
Key Changes
Please read the 30-200kW IES Process Flowchart to view the end to end process for applications in the 30-200kW IES category. The main variations to the old process are:
Design:
- Settings are no longer be placed on the proposed design. Settings as prescribed by Ausgrid’s Network Standard for Embedded Generation NS194 will be provided by Ausgrid to the applicant at design approval stage.
- Drawings marked ‘as built’ are no longer required as part of the commissioning documents package. If the design is not constructable, a design amendment is required to be submitted to Ausgrid for approval.
Design revisions and approved design amendments will now be emailed to connections.technical.enquiries@ausgrid.com.au(no longer eg@ausgrid.com.au)
Design Approval:
- Ausgrid will provide a site specific Micro EG (30-200kW) Commissioning Template at the design approval stage. The site specific commissioning template will contain the approved inverter and relay settings and is a mandatory inclusion in the commissioning documents package.
- Please note: The Ausgrid testing and commissioning template is in addition to any other standard testing or commissioning requirements for the installation. The inclusion of alternate testing and commissioning templates in place of the aforementioned Ausgrid template will not be accepted.
Connection Offer/Acceptance:
- An Ausgrid Job Number for installation inspection appointments will be provided at the connection offer acceptance stage (brought forward from commissioning documents review stage).
Commissioning:
- Commissioning Documents including the Micro EG (30-200kW) Commissioning Template, CCEW and Switchboard Compliance Statement (if required) are to be directly submitted to the customer portal by the applicant.
Please note: 30-200kW IES applications submitted prior to 07 November 2022 will continue to follow the email instructions provided to applicants as part of the existing connections process. We appreciate your patience and support through this transitional period.
