Grants, sponsorships and programs

Supporting our community is central to who we are. We provide in-kind initiatives, equipment donations, and community grants to support local programs in our network area.

Grants for Good

Ausgrid's Grants for Good program is investing $140,000 in our communities through two funding streams. We're supporting local organisations to deliver projects that make a real difference—from helping communities transition to electric alternatives, to strengthening connections and supporting safety and wellbeing.

Electricity Safety Week

Our annual Electricity Safety Week Primary Schools program is designed to spark meaningful conversations with kids across our network on how to stay safe around electricity. Developed by Ausgrid in 2002, we provide free educational materials on electricity and its potential dangers. Our resources have been shared with other distribution networks and support the promotion of safety around electricity to primary schools across New South Wales and Queensland. Each year, over 90 per cent of primary schools opt into the program, and our people visit schools to deliver interactive, fun presentations to students.

Championing customer's voices in our decision-making

Ausgrid works together with customer advocates through our Customer Consultative Committee (CCC). It has been a key driver of changes to our approach that will ensure we deliver better outcomes for customers. At the heart of the changes is a desire to involve customers in implementing our business strategy and driving the future direction of our network.
