Before you start, you will need:

  • The property street address
  • Confirm your property is in Ausgrid's network area. You can check this here.
  • Applicant details (name, ABN, email, postal address and phone number)
  • Customer details (name, email and phone number)
  • Technical details for the connection (an electrician or Accredited Service Provider can help, or apply on your behalf)

Better Connected Forms don’t work in Microsoft Edge or older versions of Internet Explorer. 

Embedded generation

All embedded generation applications must include details of any existing embedded generation at the property. If this information is missing, Ausgrid will reject the application and no refund will apply.
