Project overview

Ausgrid has been progressively transferring electrical load away from Dalley Street Zone Substation located in Dalley Street, Sydney CBD.

Dalley Street Substation was first commissioned in the late 60’s and the majority of its assets are in aged and deteriorating condition. This work is part of Ausgrid’s plans to maintain a safe and reliable electricity supply in Sydney’s CBD.

The final stage of this work is to install new 11,000-volt cables along Sussex Street, Hickson Road, Kent Street and Argyle Street. This work will maintain supply to the new Circular Quay and Barangaroo area developments. These works are now completed.
