Project overview

Ausgrid is upgrading the 11kV switchgear at the Tarro Zone Substation. As part of this work, a new modular equipment room was prefabricated offsite and transported to the substation for installation.

Current status

The project is now almost complete, with minor civil works underway that are expected to be finished in the coming months.

Major works and installation of the new modular equipment room have been completed.

Remaining minor civil works are underway and expected to be completed shortly.

Environmental assessment

Under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Ausgrid is the delegated authority to self-assess this project. An environmental assessment has been completed in accordance with the relevant requirements for this type of infrastructure works.
