Proposing a 66 kV overhead power line to connect the project to the Ausgrid electricity network at Scone.
The Upper Hunter Energy Park (UHEP) is proposing a 66 kV overhead power line to connect the project to the Ausgrid electricity network at Scone.
The proposed alignment has been informed by detailed environmental, archaeological and technical investigations, guiding the design to avoid environmentally and archaeologically sensitive areas where practicable.
Final Review of Environmental Factors
Ausgrid has reviewed and considered against the requirements of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act) and has determined the Upper Hunter Energy Park project approved to proceed to construction.
Review of Environmental Factors process
Under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Ausgrid is the determining authority for this project. As part of the REF process, an environmental assessment (known as a Review of Environmental Factors, or REF) has been prepared to assess the potential environmental impacts associated with the project.
